Throughout these 8 classes you will learn a variety of poses and movement that will allow you to start or expand your aerial yoga practice. Helping you integrate new movement, flexibility, strength, balance, improved posture and happiness into your life. This series is designed to start off with a basic beginner class and then progress on your movement/pose to widen your aerial yoga knowledge and become more and more comfortable with your hammock as you go.Therefore it is important that you follow the series in numerical order, to allow the proper progression and expansion of your practice.
These videos can be done from the comfort of your own home or from an indoor/outdoor setting. Be sure that your hammock is properly secured to a supportive structure and tested before participating. Always be aware of the space around you, above you and below you. You will want your hammock suspended to hip height with room to sway side to side and front. (approximately 4 feet on either side)
Our goal is to provide you with a well rounded aerial yoga class that integrates a deeper sense of well being into your overall life helping to improve your mind, body and spirit. Each class is approximately 45 minutes and includes a warm up, invigorating movement, inversions, deep stretching and finalized with a short relaxing meditation. For optimal results we suggest completing one class a week, replaying that class if needed, to become comfortable with each move.
Aerial Yoga can be physically demanding on your body. Please check with your doctor to ensure this practice is safe for you. Always listen to your body, move slowly, modify when needed, replay, take longer than a week, really do what is best for you.
